Coin Jewelry. Handmade 14K gold pendant. Porcius Festus. A handmade 14K gold fitted teardrop pendant, looped for suspension, housing a bronze prutah of the Roman Procurator of Judaea, Porcius Festus (59-62 C.E.). The obverse depicts the Roman emperor Nero's name (in Greek) within a wreath, while the reverse shows a palm branch. The coin appears to have been fitted into the bezel in such a way as to have caused no damage. Dimensions: 22x35 mm, 6.57 g (~4.5-5.0 g AGW). Coin good very fine.
