Egyptian Wood Panel. An Egyptian painted wood panel, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, with a knot of the goddess Isis in deep golden yellow within a dark red ground. 3 ½” x 2 ½”, 8.9 x 6.4 cm). Intact and was part of a funerary shrine, shabti box or similar funerary object. A beautiful example of ancient Egyptian painting! Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value range $300-$400.
