Kings of Armenia. Tigranes II the Great. 95-56 B.C. AE tetrachalkon (18.4 mm, 4.42 g, 12 h). Tigranocerta mint, Struck ca. 80-68 B.C. Diademed and draped bust right, wearing five-pointed tiara decorated with star between two eagles / BAΣIΛEΩΣ - BAΣIΛEΩN / TIΓΡANOΥ, Tyche seated right on rocks, holding palm branch; at feet right, half-length figure of river-god swimming right; uncertain monograms. Cf. Kovacs 81; cf. Bedoukian 93; cf. Nercessian 48. Fine, thick earthen green-brown patina.
