Young female in gauzy gown seated left, holding aloft a palm-branch and resting elbow on back of chair; in background, flowing water or low hills (?) / COURS / SECONDAIRES / de CHATEAUDUN // 2e PRIX de COUTURE / BRETON / LUCIENNE, title in field above tablet bearing 2nd half of legend; behind all to left spray of laurel with berries. EF, minor scratches (cleaning attempt?) in patina in field of obverse; brass/bronze AE color with "smoky" patina in fields and recesses.
