A nice Bactrian alabaster jar, 3rd - 2nd Millenium B.C. , of shallow piriform in shape with flattened base and flared rim. Carved from attractive, banded stone, the banding oriented horizontally in attractive fashion. 2 ?? x 1 3/8? (8.3 x 3.6 cm). Some old restoration around the rim. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
