Egypt, Alexandria. Potin tetradrachm (20.2 mm, 7.57 g, 12 h). Alexandria mint, Struck A.D. 278-279. A K M AVP ΠPOBOC CEB, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Probus right / anepigrphic, L -- Δ (= yr 4 = A.D.278-279) eagle standing right, wings closed, wreath in beak, palm-branch over wing . Emmett 3981. VF, "nice" for this era and reign, well-centered on typically ragged-edged flan, brown patina with scant deposits of green (not BD) in recesses and fields make fopr nice contrast.
