Faustina I. Augusta, A.D. 138-140/1. AR denarius (17.2 mm, 3.20 g, 6 h). Posthumous Commemorative by Antoninus Pius. Rome mint, Struck after A.D. 147. DIVA FAV-STINA, elaborately coiffed with pearl strings and draped bust of Faustina Senior right / AЄTER-NITAS, Providentia standing facing, head left, holding globe and grasping veil which billows out behind her. RIC III 351; RSC 32; SRCV 4578. Good VF, deeply struck devices in great style, on smallish flan, 10% off-center, crowding legends somewhat. gracefully re-toning after a thorough past cleaning.
