Carinus. A.D. 283-285. BI antoninianus (23.7 mm, 3.94 g, 5 h). Rome mint, struck A.D. 284-285. IMP CARINVS P F AVG, radiate and cuirassed bust of Carinus right / AETERNIT AVG, Aeternitas stansding facing, head left, holding phoenix and hiking skirt of chiton // KA Γ. RIC V 244; Pink pp. 38-9, series 5-6. Good VF, excellent style, struck boldly and well-centered on generous flan; significant amounts of silvering present, although toned overall - "powdery" green patina (it is not BD) on obverse, spots of same on reverse.
