Lot 11-213. A Pair of Wooden Horus Falcons

A pair of wooden Horus falcons, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC. The first is nicely painted with red, green and black over a yellow ground, H: 1 7/8" (4.8 cm). The second in a more traditional form with remains of black pigment and a coating of brown resin. H: 1 3/4" (4.5 cm). A nice pair. These little wooden figures are tough to get these days! Ex East Coast collection, acquired in the 1960's. Value range: $150 $250
