A Roman ceramic lamp with a bird sitting on an olive sprig, 1st Century AD, the discus concave with ridges separating it from the narrow shoulder, the spout with volutes and rounded nozzle, circular flat base on bottom. L: 3 ½” (8.9 cm). Intact, minor nicks and deposits from much use in antiquity. Ex British private collection, acquired in the early 20th Century. Value Range $100-$200
