Bactrian Limestone Head. A limestone head from a composite stone figure, Bactria-Margiana, late 3rd - early 2nd Millennium BC, wearing a nicely incised steatite cap with central dome with incised horizontal lines on the back. The head is nicely modeled with large eyes, pursed lips and an angular nose. H: 1 7/8” (4.8 cm). Intact with light deposits, mounted on a custom base. Ex Midwest private collection. Value range $900-$1000.
