Constantius Gallus - Barbarous Imitation. c. 351-355 AD. AE2 Billon Majorina (21 mm, 3.59 g). Bare-headed draped and cuirassed bust right, uncertain letter (K?) in field behind; Legend is profoundly blundered yet still clearly attempts to portray an actual legend / Soldier advancing left spearing fallen horseman; blundered legend closely approximates FEL TEMP REPARATIO; in field, gamma, in exergue, 4 characters closely approximating SMKA (K is reversed, A has no crossbar). Prototype: RIC VIII Cyzicus 94.
