A fine Colima figure from West Mexico, ca. 300 BC - 300 AD. This seated male is 4” high and is wearing an incised loin cloth, bracelets and large ear ornaments. This prominent forelock is reminiscent of earlier Olmec styles. The legs are fully formed under the rotund belly, which contains numerous rattles. Ex Arnold collection.
