Luristan Daggar. A heavy bronze dagger or short sword, Luristan, c. 1200 – 1000 BC. This finely made weapon is 14-3/4” long and is cast in one piece. The tapered blade has a thick center rib and the hilt is flanged for inlays. Intact, good mineral encrustation. Cf. Moorey, Catalogue of Ancient Persian Bronzes in the Ashmolean Museum, p. 72, no. 48 for similar type.
