An interesting and important historical type, commemorating the Secular Games celebrated by Domitian in October of 88 AD. The reverse sacrificial scene shows the togate emperor standing left, holding patera and sacrificing over garlanded altar, with harpist and double-flute player to left, all before hexastyle Temple of Jupiter Capitolinus in the background.
