Lot 20-263. Luristan Bronze Dagger.

Luristan Bronze Dagger. A fine bronze dagger, Luristan, ca. 1200 – 1000 BC. This finely made weapon is 6-5/8” long and is cast in one piece. The tapered blade has a raised center rib and the hilt is flanged for inlays. Intact, good mineral encrustation. Cf. Moorey, Catalogue of Ancient Persian Bronzes in the Ashmolean Museum, p. 72, no. 48 for similar type.
