Cuneiform Tablet. Tell Drehem, Ur III, XXI Century BC. Buff clay tablet with an account of delivery of 5 sheep and 30 goats to a temple. Stamped on edge with the number 35 verifying the total donation of 35 animals. Sealed with seal bearing image of man riding lion, and three registers of text. 45 x 38 mm. Two minor chips, otherwise intact and choice. ex. David Heater collection #6, acquired 1916 with a copy of his letter detailing the providence.
