Tepe Sialk Spouted Vessel. A choice Tepe Sialk spouted vessel, c. 9th - 8th Century BC, with bird-headed spout, globular body and single loop handle. The vessel is decorated with a large reddish-brown geometric panel containing cross-hatching and rays, the spout with large circular eyes and neck fringe, a wide band over the handle and around the rim. H: 8 ½” 21.6 cm); W: 10 ¼” (26.1 cm). A couple minor rim chips, otherwise intact and a very attractive example! Ex Las Vegas collection.
