Huari Rattle Bowl from Peru, ca. 650 - 800 AD. A lovely Huari polychrome pedestal bowl from Peru, ca. 650 - 800 AD. This nicely decorated example is 5-1/2" in diameter and is decorated with sets of nested semicircular designs executed in black and white over the red slip. The flared base is hollow and contains numerous rattles, an unusual feature. Good paint and mineral deposits. Ex Zegarra collection. Value range: $250 - $350.
