Chimu Viringo Bottle from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. A choice Chimu blackware bottle from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. This elaborately decorated vessel is 5-3/4" high and features a viringo draped over the top of the chamber. This adorable canine's face is beautifully detailed and expressive, with appendages molded in high relief. The chamber id decorated with panels depicting the Moon Dragon and a band of recurved step-fret designs. Ex Caravallo collection. Value range: $350 - $500.
