A pair of carved Coptic bone items, Roman Egypt, c. 5th - 7th Century AD, the first a decorative element with a laureate male head facing left, L: 2 ï¾¾" (6.9 cm); the second a handle from a mirror or similar with nicely turned parallel grooves and ridges, L: 2 ï¾¾" (6.9 cm). From Esna. Ex old English collection, purchased in Egypt in the early 20th Century. Value range: $300-$400.
