A pair of fragments from a Coptic textile, Roman Egypt, c. 4th - 5th Century AD, in wool and linen, both from the same garment with medallions depicting a horseman and a stylized tree bordered by a wave pattern, all in a dark orange color against the natural golden yellow-brown ground. 10 ï¾¼"ï¾ x 3 ï¾¾" (26 x 9.5 cm) & 6 ï¾¼" x 4 ï¾½" (15.8 x 11.4 cm).
