Chimu Figural Jar from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. A fine Chimu figural bottle from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. This nicely burnished blackware example is 5-1/4" high and features a human head adorned with a large labret.ï¾  Sican stylistic influence can be seen in the shape of the eyes and the form of the labret, perhaps indicating the depiction of a prisoner.ï¾  In perfect condition, with intact suspension loops and strong mineral deposits.ï¾  Ex Gallatin estate. Value range $300 - $500.
