Chimu Silver Tupo from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. An excellent Chimu silver tupo from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. It is 5-1/4" long and is topped with a 1-1/4" diameter emblem depicting a coatimundi. Tupos were mantle pins signifying the elite status of the wearer. Great repousse workmanship. Ex Gallatin estate. Value range: $200 - $300.
