The obverse portrait on this coin is generally attributed to Livia (Julia Augusta), along with similar coins bearing the legends SALVS AVGVSTA and IVSTICIA. However, David Vagi assigns the three portraits to three different individuals. Vagi attributes Salus (Health) to Livia; the only woman of 22-23 A.D. who had the title Augusta. Justice may be Agrippina Sr. who fought to know the truth behind the death of her husband, Germanicus; although Antonia has also been suggested.The portrait above Pietas in this coin may then be a representation of Livilla. She was believed to have shown Pietas over the sickness and death of her husband, Drusus. (Later it would be shown that she had poisoned him). This attribution makes sense as the reverse of this coin actually references Drusus instead of Tiberius.
