Phoenicia, Ake-Ptolemaïs. 2nd century B.C. Æ (17 mm, 3.59 g, 12 h). Dated S.E. 204 (109/8 B.C.). Laureate head of Zeus right / IE-PAΣ across field, Astarte standing left on galley, holding aphlaston stylis; in left field, monogram of Ake; in right field, date (L ΔΣ). Seyrig -; Kadman -; Rosenberger -; Rouvier -; HGC 9, 21 corr. (citation to Seyrig); DCA -. aVF, dark sandy-green patina. Extremely rare.
