Phoenicia, Ake-Ptolemaïs. Municipal issue. 1st century B.C. Æ (16 mm, 4.51 g, 10 h). Dated year 44 of the Caesarean Era (6/5 B.C.). Turreted head of Tyche right, palm branch at shoulder, within wreath / AKH, Perseus advancing left, holding head of Medusa and harpa; in right field; date (L MΔ). Seyrig 24; Kadman 83; Rosenberger -; Rouvier 983; RPC 4745 corr. (position of the date). aVF, sandy-green patina. Extremely rare.

Seyrig notes that the two specimens of this type known to Kadman were actually one and the same (see H. Seyrig, "Le monnayage de Ptolémaïs in Phénicie," RN> 1962, p. 37).
