Nazca Quipu Bowl from Peru, ca. 200 - 400 AD. A fine Nazca polychrome bowl from Peru, ca. 200 - 400 AD. This round-bottom example is 5-1/2" in diameter and is decorated with a textile design pattern in alternating colors, representing a quipu. Quipus were recording devices historically used in the region of Andean South America. Intact, with good mineral deposits and just minor pitting. Ex Sarmiento collection. Value range: $333.34 - $425.
