Huari Whistle Vessel from Peru, ca. 650 – 800 AD. An unusual Huari figural deity vessel from Peru, ca. 650 – 800 AD. It is 8" high and depicts the Corn God holding a large bird in his lap. He is nicely detailed with a crown made of ears of corn and the bird with its large, curved beak most likely represents a macaw. Strong mineral deposits, good tone on the whistle. Ex Pachenko estate. Value range: $500 - $750.
