Chimu Bottle from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. An exceptionally large Chimu avian motif vessel from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. This crisply molded bottle is 12 high, 8 in diameter and is decorated with a broad band of sea birds separated by rectangular blocks. A pair of very unusual adornos flank the spout. In excellent condition, with strong mineral deposits. Ex Florida estate. Value range: $500 - $750.
