Acheulian Hand Axe, Early Paleolithic period. This excellent pear shape axe is 5-3/4” long and is polished to a lustrous shine on both sides by millennia of wind blown sand and intense sun. This polishing process has brought out the beautiful color of the stone. Ex Hart collection. Value range: $200 - $300.
