A Double-Sided Coptic Wood Comb From Egypt. A large Coptic wood comb, Roman Egypt, c. 5th - 7th Century AD, roughly square shaped with concave sides, with both fine and coarse teeth. 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” (10.8 x 10.8 cm). Intact with some central warping of the teeth. The wood is very well preserved and quite solid with some deposits throughout. Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value Range: $450-$550.
