Sassanian Seal, Cupid riding Goat. A choice Sassanian seal, c. 224 – 651 AD. It is 1” long and depicts a version of the older Roman Winged Cupid on goat motif. Carved from translucent carnelian and perforated vertically for suspension. Expected wear from usage. Ex Oriental Antiques & Art Gallery. Value range: $165 - $300.
