Chimu Polychrome Bottle. An unusual Chimu polychrome bottle from Peru, ca. 1100 – 1300 AD. This rare cross-cultural example is 8-1/2” high and is decorated in a style more characteristic of Lambayeque designs showing the stylistic influence of another culture on Chimu artisans during this period. In perfect condition, with vivid paint and good mineral deposits. Ex Llerena collection. Value range $460 - $600.
