Nayarit Figure. A fine Nayarit figure from West Mexico, ca. 100 BC – 200 BC. This fine Ixtlan del Rio example is 5-5/8” high and depicts a standing female with hands resting on her hips and is wearing a long skirt. She is adorned with the characteristic large nose ring, large ear ornaments and simple headdress. Intact, strong mineral deposits, paint remnants and some slip erosion. Ex Byrnes estate. Value range $150 - $250.
