Nayarit figure. A fine Nayarit polychrome figure from West Mexico, ca. 100 BC – 200 BC. This choice seated example is 4” high and depicts a pregnant female. She is adorned with the characteristic large nose ornament and multiple bracelets. Clothing and decorative elements are indicated with red pigment. Intact, with heavy dendrites. Ex Byrnes estate. Value range $300 - $450.
