Chupicuaro Tripod Bowl. An excellent Chupicuaro tripod bowl from Mexico, ca. 300 – 100 BC. This choice example is 7-3/8” in diameter and has a rim decorated with linear designs. The tapered legs are hollow and have three slits. The bright red slip is highly burnished and shows good mineral deposits. Museum deaccession. Value range $300 - $500.
