An Egyptian Old Kingdom ovoid ceramic jar, c. 2649-2150 BC, the sides decorated with curved vertical black lines, the base raised and flattened and the mouth narrow with rounded rim. H: 5 ¾” (14.5 cm). Intact with light deposits. A rare pottery type! Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value range $400-$500.
