Coin Jewelry. Handmade 14K gold pendant. Pontius Pilate. Coin Jewelry. Handmade 14K gold pendant (A handmade 14K gold fitted decorative pendant, looped for suspension, housing a bronze prutah of the Roman Procurator of Judaea, Pontius Pilate (26-36 C.E.). The obverse depicts a bundle of three grain ears, while the reverse shows a simpulum (a ritual ladle used to pour libations when making a sacrifice). The coin appears to have been fitted into the bezel in such a way as to have caused no damage. Dimensions: 21 mm, 5.53 g (~3.5-4.0 g AGW). Coin very fine. .
