A Lot of 3 Roman Ceramic Lamps. A lot of 3 Roman ceramic lamps. Lot includes a Roman ‘Frog’ lamp from Egypt, c. 3rd Century AD, well-used with minimal incised decoration. L: 3 1/8” (7.9 cm). Split in two halves where the original molded halves were joined revealing the ancient wick with end burned. Also included is a Roman 2nd - 3rd Century example with petals around the fill-hole, wide protrusion on either side, ring base on bottom with impressed circles within. 4” x 3 5/8” (10.1 x 9.2 cm). Losses to ends, deposits throughout. Last is a Roman type, c. 2nd - 3rd Century AD, with circular body and loop handle at back. L: 3 3/8” (8.6 cm). Intact. Ex Orange County private collection. Value range $250-$350.
