Egyptian Wood Offering. An Egyptian painted wood food offering on a raised platform, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, the stylized offering in golden yellow and resting on a rectangular base which is suspended by a pillar, the sides of which are nicely decorated with vertical lines in black, yellow and red and taper towards the top. A more unusual and seldom encountered piece with most of the original paint remaining. H: 5 5/8” (14.3 cm). All original and mounted on a wood base. Ex Nomis Antiquities. Value range $300-$400.
