Terracotta Bull Head, Roman Egypt. A terracotta head from a bull, Roman Egypt, c. 5th - 6th Century AD, the human-like face with ridge conjoining brows and nose, oval eyes and detailed lips, all highlighted with deep red paint. The ears are indicated beneath the bases of the horns and the neck is elongated and tubular. 3” x 3 ¼” x 3 ½” (7.6 x 8.3 x 8.9 cm). Mounted on a painted wood stand. Ex Nomis Antiquities.
