Constantine I "The Great" - Barbarous Imitation. c. 319-325 AD.. AE 3 (18 mm, 2.98 g). Cuirassed bust left wearing high-crested helmet and holding shield with galloping horseman motif on left arm and spear over right shoulder; blundered legend attempting to portray an actual legend: "INCONSTNT - ININI" / Two highly-stylized Victories standing, facing one-another, holding between them, over an altar or cippus with "X" decoration, a shield with letters meant to portray a vota inscription; legend mainly consisting of "I's" and "N's" approaching decorative border-element status; in exergue, 3 or 4 illiterate characters "INIV" ?.
