Crispus, Caesar - Barbarous Imitation. c. 319-325 AD.. AE 3 (17 mm, 2.71 g). Laureate cuirassed bust right; badly blundered legend still managing to convey an approximation of D N CRISPVS NOB CAES / Two Victories standing, facing one-another, holding between them, over a columnar altar or cippus, a shield containing an "O" crudely attempting to portray a vota inscription; legend completely reduced to decorative border element of squares and "O's"; in exergue, 3 or 4 illiterate characters, poorly struck-up, ending in "O".

Ex-Alfredo De La Fe collection of barbarous coins.
