Jemdet Nasr shell ‘face’ Pendant. A Jemdet Nasr shell ‘face’ pendant, c. 3200 - 2900 BC, of highly form representing some kind of animal. The eye are hollow depressions and the mouth is open below a snout-like projection, all surrounded by incised lines; two holes fir suspension at either side. 23 x 18mm. Intact and most interesting. Ex J. L. Malter collection. Value Range: $400 - $500.
