El Bosque Dish. An excellent zoomorphic tripod vessel from Costa Rica, ca. 100 BC - 500 AD. This choice El Bosque type is 6-7/8" long and depicts a feline with open mouth and upturned tail. The highly burnished red slip retains remnants of negative resist paint and shows extensive mineral deposits and root marks. In excellent condition.  Ex Foster estate.  Value range $250 - $350.
