Central Asian Ring-Shaped Vessel. A Central Asian ring-shaped vessel, c. 9th - 13th Century AD, the spout in the form of a stylized human head. The surfaces are orange-slipped with floral and geometric designs painted in a dark brown slip. H: 5 ¼” (13.3 cm), W: 6 ¼” (15.9 cm). Intact, some surface pitting and mineral deposits. Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value Range $300-$400.
